A Very Touching Story....
A poor boy was in love with a rich man's
daughter….One day the boy proposed to her and
the girl said…”Hey! Listen, your monthly salary is
my daily hand expenses..How can I be involved
with you..?
How could you have thought of that? I can never
love you, so forget about me and get engaged to
someone else at your level”
But somehow the boy could not forget her so
easily…..Some time 10 years later they stumbled
into each other in a shopping mall.
The lady again said….,”Hey.. ! You! How are you?
Now I’m married and do you know how much my
husband’s salary is..? $15,700 per month! Can
you beat that? And he is also very smart”
The guy’s eyes got wet with tears on hearing
those words from the same lady….
A few seconds later, her husband came around
but before the lady could say a word her
husband seeing the guy, said……
“Sir you’re here and you’ve met my wife..” Then
he said to his wife,”This is my boss, I’m also one
of those working on his $100 million project!
And do you know a fact my dear? My boss loved
a lady but he couldn’t win her heart….That’s why
he has remained unmarried since.
How lucky would that lady have been, if she had
married this my boss now? These days, who
would love someone that much?"
He said all these to his wife.
The lady looked in total shock but couldn’t utter
a word….

Life is so short and it’s just like a mirror.
You can only see as much as it reflects. So
don’t be too arrogant or proud by looking down
on others because of their current situations.
Things get changed with time just like the
weather..! Don’t under estimate anyone because
everyone has a great future!
Where you have been rejected before, you will be
celebrated soon in Jesus name.

A Minister passing through his church
In the middle of the day,
Decided to pause by the altar
To see who come to pray.
Just then the back door opened,
And a man came down the aisle,
The minister frowned as he saw the man
Hadn't shaved in a while.
His shirt was torn and shabby,
And his coat was worn and frayed,
The man knelt down and bowed his head,
Then rose and walked away.
.

In the days that followed at precisely noon,
The preacher saw this chap,
Each time he knelt just for a moment,
A lunch pail in his lap.
Well, the minister's suspicions grew,
With robbery a main fear,
.

He decided to stop and ask the man,
'What are you doing here?'
The old man said he was a factory worker
And lunch was half an hour
Lunchtime was his prayer time,
For finding strength and power.
I stay only a moment
Because the factory's far away;
As I kneel here talking to the Lord,
This is kinda what I say:

'I JUST CAME BY TO TELL YOU, LORD,
HOW HAPPY I HAVE BEEN,
SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHERS FRIENDSHIP
AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN.
DON'T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY,
BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY.
SO, JESUS, THIS IS BEN,
JUST CHECKING IN TODAY.'

The minister feeling foolish,
Told Ben that it was fine.
He told the man that he was welcome
To pray there anytime.
'It's time to go, and thanks,' Ben said
As he hurried to the door.
Then the minister knelt there at the altar,
Which he'd never done before.
His cold heart melted, warmed with love,
As he met with Jesus there.
As the tears flowed down his cheeks,
He repeated old Ben's prayer:
.

'I JUST CAME by TO TELL YOU, LORD,
HOW HAPPY I'VE BEEN,
SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHERS FRIENDSHIP
AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN.
I DON'T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY,

SO, JESUS, THIS IS ME,
JUST CHECKING IN TODAY.'

Past noon one day, the minister noticed
That old Ben hadn't come.
As more days passed and still no Ben,
He began to worry some.
At the factory, he asked about him,
Learning he was ill.
The hospital staff was worried,
But he'd given them a thrill.
.

The week that Ben was with them,
Brought changes in the ward.
His smiles and joy contagious.
Changed people were his reward.
The head nurse couldn't understand
Why Ben could be so glad,
When no flowers, calls or cards came,
Not a visitor he had.
.

The minister stayed by his bed,
He voiced the nurse's concern:
No friends had come to show they cared.
He had nowhere to turn.
Looking surprised, old Ben spoke up
And with a winsome smile;
'The nurse is wrong, she couldn't know,
He's been here all the while.'
Everyday at noon He comes here,
A dear friend of mine, you see,
He sits right down and takes my hand,
Leans over and says to me:

'I JUST CAME BY TO TELL YOU, BEN,
HOW HAPPY I HAVE BEEN,
SINCE WE FOUND THIS FRIENDSHIP,
AND I TOOK AWAY YOUR SIN .

A Desire is Required (part 1 _an Introduction)

Text: Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Literarily, thirst comes with a sensation of dryness usually associated with deep craving for liguid while hunger is a strong desire for food. Men hunger and thirst because it is upon these (food and water) that their continuous existence depends. We may do away with clothes and shelter, but a man who does not eat is considered to be on a steady journey to his grave.

Jesus Christ therefore uses these words to show the cogency of righteousness. Just as food is required in our daily life, righteousness is equally of importance in our continuous walk with the Lord. Without righteousness shall no man see God. A desire is required to acquire. We are in a generation that emphasizes righteousness as a secondary part of Christianity and by this doctrine of hell, souls are being swindled of their eternal possession.

Perhaps, we too no longer see purity as a necessary prerequisite in our pilgrimage. It may be that our Christian life is full of struggles. The thirst for righteousness has either been obliterated or replaced by this busy generation. We may have to re-examine the condition of our heart. Are will sinking deeper everyday in the ocean of sin and a sense of distance is overt between us and God? Why do you think it does not matter to desire God? Don't be deceived, those that does not keep this desire alive in their heart will be mauled down by this world. Such don't go too far in their walk with God.

Prayer: Lord, create in me a deep desire for You. Give me a heart that loves You and desires righteousness.

Who is this Jesus? His birth was contrary to the
laws of life. And his
death contrary to the laws of death. He had
neither wealth nor social
status. As infant he frightened a king. As a child
he puzzled
scholars. As a man he controlled nature, wallking
on water and calming
the stormy sea. He owned no farm or fishing
fleet, yet he was able to
feed 5,000 people.
And have bread and fish left over. Without
medical training or
medicine, he healed multitudes of sicknesses
and diseases, charging
nothing for his services. He never studied
psychiatry, but has healed
more broken hearts than any doctors worldwide.
He never wrote a book,
yet thousands of book have been written about
him.



He never wrote a
song, yet he is the theme of more songs than
any other person. He
never founded a college, but all the school in the
world do not have
as many students. He never commanded an
army of fired a gun, yet no
leader ever had more volunteers, resist the
enemy so strongly for so
long without firing a shot.
When he died the world did not mourn, but a
black cloud covered the
sun. Men didn't tremble for their sins, but the
earth shock under the
yoke of them. Nature honored him while sinners
rejected him. The
ground was reddened by his blood but could not
claim his body. Thoug
it's been about 2,000 years since his crucifixion,
he still lives.
Herod could not destroy him, and the grave could
not hold him. He
ranks highest in heavenly glory-proclaimed by
God, served by angels,
adored by saints, and feared by devils as the
living Christ, Our Lord
and Saviour.
Each sunday, business slows down as people
gather all over the world
to praise, worship and remember him. The
names of famous men are
forgotten, but his name becomes better known
every day. Was this
merely the son of joseph and mary who was born
20 centuries ago?No! He
was the son of the living God who came to die
for you and me

70% 70% 70% 70% 70%When we die, our money remains in the bank... Yet, when we are alive, we don't have enough money to spend. In reality, when we are gone, there is still a lot of money not spent. One business tycoon in China passed away. His widow, left with $1.9 billion in the bank, married his chauffeur. His chauffeur said:- "All the while, I thought I was working for my boss... it is only now, that I realise that my boss was all the time, working for me !!!" The cruel reality is: It is more important to live longer than to have more wealth. So, we must strive to have a strong and healthy body, It really doesn't matter who is working for who. In a high end hand phone, 70% of the functions are useless!For an expensive car, 70% of the speed and gadgets are not needed.


If you own a luxurious villa or mansion, 70% of the space is usually not used or occupied. How about your wardrobes of clothes? 70% of them are not worn!A whole life of work and earning... 70% is for other people to spend. So, we must protect and make full use of our 30%.Go for medical check-ups even if not sick. Drink more water, even if not thirsty. Learn to let go, even if faced with grave problems. Endeavour to give in, even if you are in the right. Remain humble, even if you are very rich and powerful. learn to be contented, even if you are not rich. Exercise your mind and body, even if you are very busy. Make time for people you care about LIFE IS SHORT...ENJOY & LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST!!!Handbook 2015 HEALTH Drink Plenty of water. EAT: Breakfast like a KING, Lunch like a Prince & Dinner like a beggar. Live with the 3 E's-- Energy, Enthusiasm & Empathy. Make time to PRAY. Play more games. Read more books than you did in 2014.Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Sleep for 7 hours. Take a 10-30 minutes walk daily And while you walk, Smile. PERSONALITY Don't over do. Keep you limits. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip. Dream more while you are awake. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner with his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present Happiness. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present. No one is in charge of your happiness except you. Smile and Laugh More. You don't have to win every argument,Agree to disagree. SOCIETY Call your family often. Each day give something good to others. Forgive everyone for everything. Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6.Try to make at least three people smile each day. What other people think of you is none of your business. A Lost Peace
Text: Matthew 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Meekness does not mean weakness or being docile as many seems to paint it. Quietness or pensiveness has nothing at all to do with meekness. Meekness is however, a condition of the heart where there is peace, patience and humility.

Our generation is characterized by noise and distractions with the constant doctrine of speed and haste. Christians, based on this psychic orientation, rush into so many things without patience or peace. Many homes and marriages, as well as, business enterprises that are not functioning well today may be as a result to actions taken without meekness, peace, patience and humility. Many have lost the peace and tranquility that was given them on the cross. We have a lot of noisy hearts in the church today whose hearts are vehemently glued to what the world can offer even at the detriment if their own soul. Baseless passion and pride have taken over the life's of so many that the simplicity of Christ-like life is no more evident.

This morning, Christ is saying so explicitly that there are things we should pursue and things to pursue us. To inherit the world (I.e to live this world to the fullest), meekness (humility, patience, peace and calmness) is inevitable.

Has the desire for fame, glory, people (relationships), pleasures, prosperity and money swindled us of the peace and confidence in the death and resurection of Christ? In this perilous times, it will be too risky to proceed without meeting and possessing Jesus. It's time to check how we have been living our lives. Is it in hurry, pride and speed or in patience peace and meekness?

Prayer: Lord, in this noisy generation where speed and haste seems to be the order of the day, give me peace and grace to follow You all the way. Amen.

They that Mourn

Text: Matthew 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

Mourning does not just mean crying or wailing, rather, it is a deep feeling of sorrow which comes with a sense of lose of something or someone dear especially to the cold hands of death.
Jesus choice of this word is very deliberate. There are certainly going to be so many dear things to us which we will part ways with on the narrow road. They may be pleasures of sin, company of bad friends, strange idiosyncratic habits, desires, goals etc. It is required that we lay down our lives on the alter of sacrifice. No one is a pilgrim on this highway of righteousness without parting ways with this fading world and its glory. (Romans 6 : 11)

Today, there are a lot of Christians who claim yo love God but are embracing the world in the confinement of their hearts and in the secret of their rooms. They love the promises of God, yet they are holding so much to the temporal pleasures of this world. However, losing one's life is the surest way of gaining it and denying one's self is the easiest way of following God. Every other means or path is full of struggle and deception.

However, parting ways with those things we love yet impede our relationship with Christ does not comes so easy. It is full of tears, discomfort and self flagellation. I remember parting ways with my ungodly friends, it was hell. I felt alone in the world. But without tears, why should you expect comfort? What are those things that are peculiar to your life but are antigod. If you are expectant of glory and comfort, it is time to put your hands on the plough and swing into action. Trust God for strength and be willing to let go. The end is glorious for those who will pay the sacrifice.

Prayer: God help me to let go, if I have not forsaken all in answer to thy lovely call. Amen

Daily as I live

Text: Matthew 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

What does it mean to be poor? A poor man is a man with lack and wants, who is not often recognized, celebrated, praised, known, noticed, heard, seen or remembered. Being considered totally dependent and incapable, they are easily identified as people with unknown or eroded personality.

But how come Jesus have to use that word in describing those who will inherit heaven? Being poor in the spirit is a state of consciousness which everyone who desires an eternity with God must come into. We must lost every form of self significance and sufficiency in our service to God. Our total spiritual survival must be established on Christ alone, (the only sure foundation). That very moment we are tempted to take away our gaze from the "bronze serpent" ( John 3: 14) which has been lifted up as the only ensign of hope, the snakes of this world (sins, Satan, ungodly sorrow, hurtful lust, hypocrisy etc) will pierce us.

As a matter of fact, those who refuse to constantly rely on God's divine strength will be discouraged somewhere down the road. The narrow road to life requires more than mere strength to go through it. No wonder the prince of this world has blindfolded many and replaced this doctrine of daily trust in God with philosophies, theologies, and human wisdom. We therefore have complacent Christians who are satisfied with their spiritual mediocrity.

We should even ask ourselves, how have we been walking daily? With tactics or nature or wisdom or complacency? It is time to change our course of action and place our life on Jesus daily. A life of self dependence will never last the test of time.

Prayer: Daily as I live, may my life be an expression of Your grace. May I always see You on my way homeward. Amen

Don't Worry

Text: Matthew 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof

Our society is characterized by struggle and hustle for glory and glamour. Because much praises are showered on the rich and wealthy, there is a desperate longing within us for heights of glory, sometimes to the detriment of our peaceful soul. We certainly desire a future so bright and somehow the fear of the unknown grips our heart and will never let go.

However, we tend to forget that Jesus already promised a settled future. The moment the Sons of God begin to let their hearts cling to the things of this world; the moment the love of money starts taking over, that moment when the temporal pleasures of this world seems to be of utmost importance, the children of God will suffer in this world. They will be swindled of their heavenly blessings, robbed of their eternal privileges and displaced from their rightful position.

One of the potent tool the adversary uses in derailing men from the track is tempting them with the beauty of this world. Jesus was tempted with that. Have we silently be desiring the world and letting loose the guild of our own souls. Are we entangled by the affairs of this life already, Jesus is saying, come and I will take care of it. In His right hand dwells pleasure forever more.

Prayer: Lord in the means of life struggle, may I never ever take my gaze from You to love this fading world. Amen

For an answer Jesus called over a child, whom he stood in the mid­dle of the room, and said, "I'm telling you, once and for all, that un­less you return to square one and start over like chil­dren, you're not even go­ing to get a look at the kingdom, let alone get in. Whoev­er becomes simple and el­e­mental again, like this child, will rank high in God's kingdom. What's more, when you receive the childlike on my account, it's the same as receiving me.

A little child is the most dependent thing on earth. All its resources are in its parents’ love; all it can do is to cry; and its necessities explain the meaning to the mother’s heart. If we interpret its language, it means: “Mother, wash me; I cannot wash myself. Mother, clothe me; I am naked, and cannot clothe myself. Mother, feed me; I cannot feed myself. Mother, carry me; I cannot walk.” It is written, “A mother may forget her sucking child; yet will not I forget thee.”

This it is to receive the Kingdom of God as a little child—to come to Jesus in our helplessness, and say: “Lord Jesus, wash me!” “Clothe me!” “Feed me!” “Carry me!” “Save me, Lord, or I perish.”—Rainsford.

Oh thank God for Grace. If not for grace, I will be lost in sin. It was grace that makes me wander back when I went astray. It was mercy that kept me through storming times. His love found me in an open country. His love overshadowed my weaknesses and covers me in the purity of inexplicable affection. O Jesus, this Jesus loves me.

Let the world which still wallows in tears and despondence know our God is love. Jesus came to die for my sins. Now, He is arisen to make me the friend of God.
