“But richer blood has flown from nobler vein
To purge the soul from guilt and cleanse the reddest stains”
__H. Bonar
Glory to God for His inexhaustible wealth of mercies, our Lord Jesus Christ that out of His limitless love has left the azure realm of glory above to embrace a wooden cross at Calvary in order to save us from eternal damnation, and the Holy Spirit for His comfort every moment on our pilgrimage. Indeed, we can affirm together with John Foley that in “the bid to find Christ, He has found us.”
Incontrovertibly, our contemporary world is wallowing under the tyrannical sway of darkness as the political, economic and even the religious institutions sink deeply into the chasm of compromises and retrogression. However, as the Lord has gathered us together this year again with a ‘Cry for Revival’, we hear the Lord saying expressly that “I shall restore the years that the locust have eaten… I will pour out my spirit on all flesh… and show wonders in Heaven and on earth” (Joel 2: 25, 28 and 30)
I have heard it sometimes said that “it is only in Christendom that a wounded soldier is shot”, but we come into this year conference with a yearning for revival and resuscitation. Therefore, I will charge every partaker of this invaluable and memorable gathering to be very sensitive to every dealings of God. Just as Bunyan once wrote, “he that is down fears no fall. He that is humble shall have God to be his guide.” Be expectant and encouraged to meet with our God who is resolved to do that which He has promised. Once again, you are wholeheartedly welcome to this memorable Easter Conference 2015 with the theme A Cry for Revival as we study together the book of Joel chapter 1, 2 and 3. May the good Lord bless you and make these days memorable. Amen
