About me

Hello

I'mOlatuja Oloyede

A Writer and a Tech Enthusiast

As a creative content writer, I have written over 400 poems, published books for many international organizations mostly in the United States, United Kingdom and Columbia. You will find many of my personal works on creativearena.org.ng. I also design all kinds of websites at pocket friendly prices. My area of expertise includes, but not limited to business or company websites, blogs, e-commerce, portfolios, community websites, multi-level marketing platforms, and e-learning platforms. I have my client-base both within and outside the continent of Africa. I also provide hosting services, cheap domain registration and almost free web maintenance for web owners and designers. I love astronomy with a special interest in astrobiology. I am curious to know if life exists beyond our planet and what form it might be. I love swimming, cycling, playing open-world games and simulation games. I sing, play piano, flutes, drums and trumpet, each with different degree of mastery. My conviction of God and divinity is not stereotypical and therefore not subjective to questionable theocracies of dogmatic minds. Sometimes, I wish I was born a billion years from now. Maybe then, teleportation, telepathy, time travel and telekinetic energy will not be mere fantasies of pseudoscience but a normalized technology of the age. But will humans be around for that long? I am curious the sun might swell in fury as a giant star and raze the earth to vapor or contracts with dull flames into a dwarf star and the earth will sink in stoning ice forever. Unfortunately, we will be gone with our curiosities except only if the soul of man is truly indestructible. I am frail, fallible, and human. I prioritize love, and humanity. I wish we let animals thrive in their habitats without killing them (especially the harmless ones) for food. I am Olatuja Oloyede and below are links to my other websites.

A Walk with God

*A WALK WITH GOD*
Genesis 5:20-24

One of the shortest verses of the Bible is "Enoch walked with God and he was no more, because God took him away". The beauty of this verse is not only its simplicity and direct word but the rest of Enoch's life was spent with God. Methuselah was the only child of Enoch and giving birth to him at age 65 gave him the chance of walking with God. He possibly had not been having enough time working with God as early as possible in his early life but a point came that he discovered the secret of knowing God "Walking with God"

Many a time we forgot that the secret of God dwell with his people i.e those who are walking daily with him. Walking with God is movement from one stage to another. Adam would have been the best person to walk with the Lord but he stopped the communication immediately they were sent out of the garden.
When Enoch understood and enjoyed the fellowship with God, he was transformed by the light to be the best friend of God. God had to withheld him from living in a corrupt world, he took him away.

Today, the walk with the Lord is made much more easier than before, we have the Holy Spirit to constantly help us to connect to the Father, a constant work with God gives you a direct access to the Father.

Let there be a release of the Spirit and an outward break of the flesh to enable the spirit to penetrate through every other parts of the soul.

BE WISE: Learning daily from God is living on him daily

No More Fears of the Unknown

Take time out to admire the beauty surrounding us. The flowery glades, the dazzling lilies of the meadow, the hanging mountains, the sweet melodies of the birds singing across the blue sky, and the amazing creatures of the sea, the hands of our Father had made them all. He is the hand that weaved the fabrics of life, the brain behind every existence, the strength that suspend the sky above the earth. No need looking on the distant horizon of the future with the eyes of fears and heart of anxiety. The one who has promised you peace can never lie. "Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved." (Psalm 55:22)

Prepare to Come and Bury Me

This message was sent to me this morning by a dear friend!
"Prepare to come and bury me, prepare to come and weep at my funeral (literary). Sir if in this year or next I don't have or bring forth revival. I must have a revival or death and if need be i must have it and die. The line has been drawn but I can't stand the sight of souls languishing anymore. Sir You are a witness of this thing"

And I join my friend in his burden praying: " Oh that you would rend the heavens, that you would come down, that the mountains might flow down at your presence, As when the melting fire burns, the fire causes the waters to boil, to make your name known to your adversaries, that the nations may tremble at your presence. (Isaiah 64:1-2)

God send down another flood of revival.

Good morning

Before You Start to Drop the Tears

Life may sometimes turn its ugly sides and its seems all friends are gone. Before you drop a tear, remember it could just be God at work. Hopes may be dashed as dear promises come in the packages of disappointment, remember it could just be God at work. A love one decides to leave and your heart is broken, before you drop a tear, remember it could just be God at work. The furnace of affliction is one place where  greatness is fashioned into God's children and the dessert is sometimes the path leading to the flood. There is a blessing which comes in disguise and we all must be able to say, O Lord, Thy will alone be done. "Take note of this, I have refined you; but not with silver; I have chosen you in the furnace of affliction." (Isaiah 48:10)

Do have a wonderful week ahead

Why Too Many Tears from a Broken Heart

So many promises fade into oblivion after a long wait of disappointment. Too many friends is not the cure of loneliness. A man may be surrounded by multitude and still feel deserted. There are dangers in placing all the trusts in mortality. We learn the secret of a long happy life the moment we learn to trust God more and man less. Forgiveness we be much easier and acceptance of other's weaknesses  will come with less stress. Don't be surprise why there are too many tears in the eyes of a brokenhearted man, though it won't wash the pain or heal the wounds, "'this is what the Lord says: curse is the one who puts his trust in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns from the Lord." (Jeremiah 17 : 5)

Trust God more and have an inspired Sunday

Arrows from His Quiver

Our world has known so many promises from politicians and yet refuse to change for good. Many institutions are struggling to fix a world ever tearing apart. The armies with all their skills cannot heal a "peace-less" world. The wisdoms of great physicians bow in defeat when nature decides to have its course. Is there still hope in humanity? There is a man whose prayer can stop the sun, whose rod can part the sea, whose mouth can lock the rain behind the iron gates of heaven for years, whose hands can break the jaws of lion. Our world is only in need of that man who will rise as an arrow from the quiver of a mighty God. A man who will hold to schemes of hell and the government of darkness at bay. A man that can make the difference and that man can be you!! God said this about you: "You are my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I destroy kingdoms" (Jeremiah 51: 20)

The World is a Cruel Place Indeed

The world has been a cruel place to too many people and to many more, it is a long unfriendly ride. The future sometimes holds promises it can never fulfill and many dream of better days that will never come. Even the fishes sometimes get drowned in the river and the birds sometimes gets lost in the sky. The strength of the warriors also fail them at the hour of need. Going through the long dark journey of life into the unknown requires on skill. We must be able to say, I'm a child and I know not which way to go. "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord and depart from evil" (Proverbs 3: 5 - 8)

Stay humble, stay close and have a blessed day!!

You are the Apple of God's Eye

When painful tears spring from your broken heart and your are consumed with fear, always remember that you are the child of a king. I may not hear the sobs from your distant walls, but will you believe if I tell you that even if the world gangs up against you and heaven pulls from you, it is nothing when God has got your back. Whoever fights against you will have God to contend with. Any tongue that rises against you in judgement shall be condemned and no weapon fashioned against you shall prosper. Then price of your freedom is His blood and His death atones for your sins and weaknesses. You only have to make God your God. If He is not the God of all, He is not the God at all. "For thus says the Lord.... He that touches you touches the apple of His eye" (Zechariah 2: 8)

Consent Thou Not

Consent Thou Not

Do not mock the helpless man who slumps into the slush under the heavy influence of alcohol. Just pause and think of the reasons behind such a useless life. Someone must have influenced him into this. You see, the influence you allow determines who you become. Men make men. You cannot control those who life brings on your path, but you have the right to chose those who matters in the course of destiny. Let no one lead you into what you will later regret. The consequences of such is always severe and endured alone. Stand for a truthful, honest and simple life. "If sinners entice thee, consent thou not." (Proverbs 1: 10)

Don't Ask Me If I Can't

I can bury my jewel
In the save of the wind
I can break a mountain with an egg
I can cross the oceans with a single stroke
I can fix my feast on the sun
I can pick those stars
Scattered across the sky
I can tame the devil by the horn
Don't ask me
Can you "can" the "can't" that you can?

Men once touched the moon
With the soles of their feet
Once party on the glades of Everest
Survived under the weight of Pacific
Crossed the earth in their iron birds
The "can't" of the dawn of time
Are now ridiculed
By fists of the close of age

My answer to your question will be
I can't say I can't while I can't
Though it may sound so insensible
But great things always come wrapped
In the strand of many impossibilities

Everyone must therefore make a choice
Of I can't, of I can

Now That I'm a Grown Man

As a young kid
I'd looked on the grey head with envy
Wondering what it is to grow old
Courage and authority is the air
That herald their presence
But little do I know
Of the troubles of adulthood

Now that I'm a full grown man
I look with jealousy in my heart
Upon the young sucking baby
Whose heart knows no worry
Whose little strain of tears
Is all its needs to have its belly full

And I wish I am young again
Back on the road that lead to my infant bed
In the cradle where I know no worry
To the back of mother
Where I feel save from the evils of this world

Keep the Door of My Lips

Keep the Door of my lips... (Psalm 141 : 3)

Stop underestimating the power of spoken words. Sweet friendships have been relegated to cruel enmities by careless words in times past. Hearts have been broken, homes destroyed and great opportunities lost because of the unchecked utterances that roll smoothly out of many mortal tongues. The world would have been a better place and many eyes would have known no tears if only we can always remember that there is either healing or death in everything we say. You don't need unkind words to fight your battles. Honesty will get you the justice you deserve and the wicked won't go unpunished. It is when your heart boils with anger that your mouth should keep mute and if you can't control your lips from running insults, you can join the psalmist in his prayer: "set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth: keep the door of my lips" (Psalm 141 : 3)

Have a great day ahead

Gone but Alive in My Dreams

They said you are gone
But like my heartbeat
Your presence is felt in my health

They said you are gone
But like a melody
The sound of your laughter
Rings in my ear

The said you are gone
When everynight
I see you in my dreams wrapping me in your arms

My heart is your home
Your melodious laughter
Rings in my ear
Your strong arms
Shields me in my dreams

But where are you?
Are you really gone?
The moon shines on
My ear itch on for your tale
Where are you mama?

Now,  I know
You've gone to rest in that faraway land
You will live forever in my heart
Till we meet to part no more

LONG LIVE MUGABE

Finally, I repeat
I repeat finally
The dusk has dashed
For the emergence of
The new dawn

Finally,  I repeat
I repeat,  finally
The palm tree bows
To the maize like
A fragile leaf does
In an hurricane.

Finally, I repeat,
I repeat finally
Whose dog dares the tiger?
The anonymous has stepped -
down the long live Mugabe
Of the you-ni-var-city
Long live Mugabe.

Don Moen: You are Eternal God

Pressing Forward

I was crushed...so much so that I despaired even of life, but that was to make me rely not on myself, but on the God who raises the dead – 2 Cor 1:8-9

“Pressed out of measure and pressed to all length;
Pressed so intensely it seems, beyond strength;
Pressed in the body and pressed in the soul,
Pressed in the mind till the dark surges roll.
Pressure by foes, and a pressure from friends.
Pressure on pressure, till life nearly ends.

“Pressed into knowing no helper but God;
Pressed into loving the staff and the rod.
Pressed into liberty where nothing clings;
Pressed into faith for impossible things.
Pressed into living a life in the Lord,
Pressed into living a Christ-life outpoured.”

The pressure of hard places makes us value life. Every time our life is given back to us from such a trial, it is like a new beginning, and we learn better how much it is worth, and make more of it for God and man. The pressure helps us to understand the trials of others, and fits us to help and sympathize with them.

There is a shallow, superficial nature, that gets hold of a theory or a promise lightly, and talks very glibly about the distrust of those who shrink from every trial; but the man or woman who has suffered much never does this, but is very tender and gentle, and knows what suffering really means. This is what Paul meant when he said, “Death worketh in you.”

Trials and hard places are needed to press us forward, even as the furnace fires in the hold of that mighty ship give force that moves the piston, drives the engine, and propels that great vessel across the sea in the face of the winds and waves. —A. B. Simpson

“Out of the presses of pain,
Cometh the soul’s best wine;
And the eyes that have shed no rain,
Can shed but little shine.

Streams in the Desert

Will Mama Ever Understand?

The chirping of morning birds
Brought the dawn to my bed
The crow of early roosters
Lead the rays through my door

On a long and dirty road
I'd travelled here yesternight
Darkness clouds the homeward path
But my feet are wiser than the lies of time

Alone I drank from mama's calabash
Though I'd seen many storms in life
But her thatched roof provides comfort she needs

Alone I sat with her under the moonlight
Her presence graced the mystery of this weird hours
Though age had stolen her her strength
Still, there is wisdom in her greyness
And the life within her dying lips
Sat on the mat of the evening

Again mama told me the stories
Those stories that accompanied my childhood
But this time a  warning

"My child is an eagle
The king of the sky
Fondle with the stars
But stay away from the falconer"

"My son is a lion
Rule the jungle
With death in your claws
But stay away the beasts of the sea'

"Beware of strange women
The bee that brings honey
Also brings death in its tail
Addiction is the mockery of the kings
Women is the mockery of the Mighty"

"Do not boast beneath the mountains of this world
And humility will be your wings"

I have drank from the ancient pots
I have eaten from the sacred calabash of wisdom
But the aging brow of mama's eyes
Cannot see the changes in time
Love and lie now go hand in hand
Will mama ever understand
If I tell her of Aranti?
The only girl I love but can't trust

Can Thine Heart Endure

We know not what we should pray for as we ought – Rom 8:26

Much that perplexes us in our Christian experience is but the answer to our prayers. We pray for patience, and our Father sends those who tax us to the utmost; for “tribulation worketh patience.”

We pray for submission, and God sends sufferings; for “we learn obedience by the things we suffer.”

We pray for unselfishness, and God gives us opportunities to sacrifice ourselves by thinking on the things of others, and by laying down our lives for the brethren.

We pray for strength and humility, and some messenger of Satan torments us until we lie in the dust crying for its removal.

We pray, “Lord, increase our faith,” and money takes wings; or the children are alarmingly ill; or a servant comes who is careless, extravagant, untidy or slow, or some hitherto unknown trial calls for an increase of faith along a line where we have not needed to exercise much faith before.

We pray for the Lamb-life, and are given a portion of lowly service, or we are injured and must seek no redress; for “he was led as a lamb to the slaughter and…opened not his mouth.”

We pray for gentleness, and there comes a perfect storm of temptation to harshness and irritability. We pray for quietness, and every nerve is strung to the utmost tension, so that looking to Him we may learn that when He giveth quietness, no one can make trouble.

We pray for love, and God sends peculiar suffering and puts us with apparently unlovely people, and lets them say things which rasp the nerves and lacerate the heart; for love suffereth long and is kind, love is not impolite, love is not provoked. LOVE BEARETH ALL THINGS, believeth, hopeth and endureth, love never faileth. We pray for likeness to Jesus, and the answer is, “I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.” “Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong?” “Are ye able?”

The way to peace and victory is to accept every circumstance, every trial, straight from the hand of a loving Father; and to live up in the heavenly places, above the clouds, in the very presence of the Throne, and to look down from the Glory upon our environment as lovingly and divinely appointed.—Selected

I prayed for strength, and then I lost awhile
All sense of nearness, human and divine;
The love I leaned on failed and pierced my heart,
The hands I clung to loosed themselves from mine;
But while I swayed, weak, trembling, and alone,
The everlasting arms upheld my own.

I prayed for light; the sun went down in clouds,
The moon was darkened by a misty doubt,
The stars of heaven were dimmed by earthly fears,
And all my little candle flames burned out;
But while I sat in shadow, wrapped in night,
The face of Christ made all the darkness bright.

I prayed for peace, and dreamed of restful ease,
A slumber drugged from pain, a hushed repose;
Above my head the skies were black with storm,
And fiercer grew the onslaught of my foes;
But while the battle raged, and wild winds blew,
I heard His voice and Perfect peace I knew.

I thank Thee, Lord, Thou wert too wise to heed
My feeble prayers, and answer as I sought,
Since these rich gifts Thy bounty has bestowed
Have brought me more than all I asked or thought;
Giver of good, so answer each request
With Thine own giving, better than my best

Kasukinto, My Child

Under that tree of wisdom
I sat at the feet of the wise one
The birds sings sweetly in the trees
The breeze gently sails by
Over our head lies the endless blue sky

Kasunkinto, my child
You don't know where life will take you
Maybe far from this rotten mat
Maybe behind the great mountains
That may separate you from your root
But wherever you are
However far you go from here
Always remember contentment

Those who run after the world
Run out of the world
It is senseless to search for beauty
Don't drink to the dreg
From the cup of ambition
There is no end to that road
Avoid those who underestimate you
Walk from those who exaggerate you
If the blood be red and the hands be clean
There will be no mountainous on your path
That will be too high to climb

I kasukinto has risen from the feet of my fathers
Travelling down the road that leads into my own destiny
With pride in my heart and wisdom in my head
With honesty on my hands and innocence in my eyes
I still may wonder where this life is taking me
But I will always remember
The son of who I am

The Vegetable

The Vegetable

When the teeth becomes blunt
When the arms become weak
When the legs become feeble
When our love becomes haggard
Like the shreds of Onye Ara
I will still shine my gums
And wink my sockets

When my smile becomes horrid
When my lies become stale
When my speech becomes pale
When my fart no longer smells
Like nothing but air
I will still shine my gums
And wink my sockets

When your name becomes vague
When my shudders become tremor
When my muscular shoulders become planks
When I say 'I love you, but sounds
I laf you'
Would you still be there to shine your gums
And wink your sockets?

Trail of Our Aged Bones

TRAIL OF OUR AGED BONES
.
Let me have a bite
Beside the shaped ancient teeth
From the mythic kola
Where only wisdom dwells.
.
Let me have a smoke
From the ancient pipe
Pulled out from aged toothless mouth
That smells our untainted heritage.
.
Let me have a sip
From the curved horns and cultured Calabash
Filled up with ale and undiluted palm wine
To intoxicate me with our heritage.
.
Let me have  a seat
Amongst the white beard heads
To play the "local game" with stones
So that I may be taught the bounds in my thoughts
From aged bloods that flows like euphrates into the garden of our motherland.
.
Let us have some music
Sang with dry lips that echoes from soundless cave
Infuriated with flutes, gongs and talking drums
That we may dance-off our ignorance
To see the chain left by our ancestors to be drawn.

Beautiful Death

Beautiful death

I will one day
shut my heart to rhythm of love
To the supple glare of your flesh
To the reverence of you
To the windy ring of your waist
Not in sleep but in death

I will one day
Fit my frail body
in the deep of the heaven
Where worms with me dwell
Down there I am sure
I will feel your feet on my head
And tears on my face
Not in sleep but in death

I will one day
pour down from the skies
Not as sun but as rain
Since you make the sun
I would cloth you in my embrace
as Night and hold you in my arms as day
Not in sleep but in death

But for all these to happen
Make sure to shed those genuine tears
As I am laid to the mother earth
And remember, just remember
All these you must do
Not in death but in....

I Am Fear-Less

I AM FEAR–LESS

I tore through the chest of this beast
Plundered through the roots of this demon
Scavenged through spoils of this brute
   Oh! What valour I was
      Indeed Valour I worn
        The victory I won.
Not until it dawned on me,
      That very obvious brutality
     The unsolicited and irreversible debt
       The unfathomable eventuality
That you my love would one day
Sail on the cold wings of this truant
Float in the assuring cabin of this black sheep
This reality slapped me hard in the face
And left several portholes in clause
       "I will take her anyways"
      Then fear became a watchword
      My strength failed me
     I became terrified by it
    I surrendered
    Bitten with the knowledge
   That DEATH can take
    YOU from ME anytime.
    I yielded in the end.

The Circular Curse

THE CIRCULAR CURSE

My great grandfather
Towed grandfather along this path
Neither was father left out
Even my brothers and siblings
Were careful enough not
To loose the circular baton
Handed down to them

I withdrew my hands aggressively
And was tagged anti social
I failed the cue's queue
Was labeled a rebel
I asked why I needed to follow suit
It was hurled blasphemy

I turned to leave
But my cloth's hem
Still had a thread joining
My brothers to my lace
My siblings to my waist
My father to my head
My grandfather to my knees
My great grandfather to my loins
Sadly I had no choice than to join
The bandwagon that pulled
Them along..

Talk Mother

Talk Mother

If you would listen mother
I would retell those tales
You told me about the tortoise
Falls from the sky
Only to have his back broken
Not dead!

If you would care to listen mother
I would love to recount that myth
About Ekùn given birth to a cub;
Bringing sun and rain simultaneously
Little wonder they are little extinct
Since I see little of the marriage
Between the sun and rain lately

Mother if you would just listen
I would love to tell you that the lizard's
Constant nodding of the head
Is not for self accolades or blood sucking
but genetic make up as it were

Mother if you would just listen from
Your self containment that I refuse to call grave
I would love to listen now without
Questioning the logic behind all those Tales

Mother just one last time with my fingers holding my lips
I would just listen and sleep
between your hips

And tell a story through me
My mouth for yours
Make me a worthy instrument

Plant in me the sage's seed
Let the teary clouds nurture for growth
Mortals die of ancient hunger
Feed the world through me I pray

Lie Still and Trust

I had fainted unless...! – Ps 27:13

“FAINT NOT!”

How great is the temptation at this point! How the soul sinks, the heart grows sick, and the faith staggers under the keen trials and testings which come into our lives in times of special bereavement and suffering.

“I cannot bear up any longer, I am fainting under this providence. What shall I do? God tells me not to faint. But what can one do when he is fainting?”

What do you do when you are about to faint physically? You cannot do anything. You cease from your own doings. In your faintness, you fall upon the shoulder of some strong loved one. You lean hard. You rest. You lie still and trust.

It is so when we are tempted to faint under affliction. God’s message to us is not, “Be strong and of good courage,” for He knows our strength and courage have fled away. But it is that sweet word, “Be still, and know that I am God.”

Hudson Taylor was so feeble in the closing months of his life that he wrote a dear friend: “I am so weak I cannot write; I cannot read my Bible; I cannot even pray. I can only lie still in God’s arms like a little child, and trust.”

This wondrous man of God with all his spiritual power came to a place of physical suffering and weakness where he could only lie still and trust.

And that is all God asks of you, His dear child, when you grow faint in the fierce fires of affliction. Do not try to be strong. Just be still and know that He is God, and will sustain you, and bring you through.

“God keeps His choicest cordials for our deepest faintings.”

“Stay firm and let thine heart take courage” (Psa. 27:14, —After Osterwald)

Stay firm, He has not failed thee
In all the past,
And will He go and leave thee
To sink at last?
Nay, He said He will hide thee
Beneath His wing;
And sweetly there in safety
Thou mayest sing.

Streams in the Desert

A Living Dead He Made Me by Alaba Oluwasayo___A Response to Oloyede's Can this Heart Ever Fall in Love Again?

Broken, you say your heart is?

Shattered was mine
Crushed by the angelic-swindler
Whom I gave my whole

Yours took your life?
Mine took my sanity
A living-dead he made me
My Folks,
He gave an undecodable puzzle

And so in my gruesome state,
I discovered my anti-dote;
Self Love

Loving my self,

I found Love
He remolds my shattered heart
Heals my broken spirit
And
Returns my Sanity

Tribute to My Grandmother Who Died This Morning

Tribute to My Grandmother Who Died Today

Death do not boast
Mama is not gone
Her spirit is in our hearts
Are prayers are the bracelets of our wrists
Her voice echoes in our ears

How can you take away
The one mightier than you
Why do you wait this long
If you were not such a coward
They say Iyaloye is gone?
No, there is something she left behind
Something she buried
In the greyness of her age
It is that wisdom
That blackens the teeth of the elders
It is the legacy of honesty
The virtue of diligence
The secret of greatness
Death has made her richer
Death is a loser again
And I know that mama is not gone
She is the Angel
That will always visit my dreams
And the great woman that will always live in my heart
Mama.... Rest in Peace
